Reading HPTs from the back?

ok so i wasn't going to test until 10 DPO b/c i felt it was the earliest with the best chance of a BFP. well i broke down and took one at 9 DPO in the evening. I noticed a very very faint line on the HPT (wal-mart Cheapie) so i decided to be sure i wasn't seeing things and i popped the back of the HPT looked at it from the back and the line was darker easier to see from that position and in good light. i just wanted to know what others thoughts were, if someone else did it or if i'm just desperate and crazy to know. Thanks
