In the book The Lovely Bones, how does Susie Salmon die?

For all the Lovely Bones fans like me i am very curious on how susie salmon dies.. i know she was d then murdered but not sure if it is true..? like in the trailer it had her running through Mr. Harveys cornfield on fire.... verrry verrry confused
