Share something about sicily (advice, experience, etc)?

i'm going to sicily next month. to trapani to be exact. since this is my first solo trip, any advice you want to give me regarding what to do or what not to do there? i've read many websites and brochures about that place and really excited to go. but still it's good to get some opinion or hear something other than ones that written just to attract tourists. =)
