QUESTIONS ON SHAKESPEARE ?

Here's a little bit of insight----I don't know about phases in the sonnets. I do know that there is a fair amount of scholarly opinion indicating they were written to S's male lover, does that relate to your question at all? One skill not needed today is probably a very LOUD speaking voice. One had to be loud to be heard back then, unlike the area mic'd stages of today. It was also probably necessary to "over emote", physically, back then. Again, on account of the way plays were shown. I don't know how far S got in school. As far as groups using similar linguistic terms---Hmmm. A devoted S head would tell you that no one then or now is in any way similar linguistically. uming your teacher wants an answer, though, how about the clergy of the time. uming the Church of England spoke in English, that language would be flowery, no?
